Erected: 1896.
Location: Located at intersection with Taneytown Road. Howe Avenue is eastward continuation of Wright Avenue and marks position of US troops of Howe’s Division. Howe Avenue was built in 1897 and altered in 1940.
Description: Cast iron avenue tablet designed by E.B. Cope. Mounted on fluted post, overall height is three feet.
