The 32nd Massachusetts Infantry Regiment served as members of Sweitzer’s Brigade in Barnes’ Division of the Fifth Corps, Army of the Potomac. The regiment is honored by a monument and a bronze position plaque.
Location: Sickles Avenue, east of the Loop. Located near the main monument on a boulder.
Description: Hospital tablet marker recessed in native boulder. Bronze plaque is inset into boulder on the battlefield. It denotes the location of the 32nd Massachusetts Infantry’s field hospital and aide station during the battle. Dedicated in 1895.
